Is that safe? Seems like a risk of fire to throw a recently lit butt into a general bin.

That is a State of mind perhaps, but frankly illegal in many places
Uber / Lyft pay their drivers so poorly and continue to abuse US tipping culture so badly that drivers have to work crazy hours for any reasonable pay. This is now a hazard as it’s not uncommon to find drivers starting to fall asleep at the wheel. I welcome this technology but hope some better players emerge than these usual scumbags.
Dislike smoking but realize that for addicts often public infrastructure doesn’t give you a lot of options for getting rid of butts. Seems like biodegradable butts should be mandatory. On the other hand I will lean into my horn if I see someone throwing butts out of their car. That is inexcusable - get an ashtray for your vehicle.
Yes, fixed it. Only thinking at 8 bits a second this morning
Indeed it is. If you want to illustrate the point that silicon and copper are faster than bioelectric lumps of fat there are lots of ways to do this and it’s no contest, but this is not a well done study.
That’s great! Stc looks like a different effort. Variety is great on this front as it’s a monumental task archiving these papers.
You hack me bro? This hits home way too hard.
Scihub database stops in 2021. Big win for corporate publishers and wealthy scientists; they’ve had an edge since then. It’s super important to have access to up to date resources. The database here seems to fill the gap - Merry Christmas to me!!
‘slavery’ in quotes really seems to soften the blow. Like the time I ‘punched’ my boss.
For most people it’s a pretty dark present. I’ve seen enough elder care facilities to know that the “good” ones are super expensive and frankly people still aren’t always treated that great. The “bad” ones (and this is most of them) are pretty damn awful. I have pretty strict language favoring death over these places in my living will for good reason. A robot that can offer consistent, non-biased, round the clock care would be a big win. Most of the people that work in these places are at or below poverty line and doing care tasks that are highly undesirable. They don’t specifically higher assholes, but with this much home and life stressors people do not function at their best, and they will take this stress out on easy targets like the elderly. Freeing people up from routine care tasks should actually allow them to focus on more human and compassionate interactions with residents.
Yeah, they should really advertise what they do excel at which is covert dick pics at urinals.
Do we really need larger cars?
For smart glasses to be adopted they really need to be executed perfectly. No one wants to fuss around with anything on their face and directly affecting their vision. I don’t see the hardware and software worked out smoothly enough for this to be popular for at least another three years. Save a sock for me, I’m on record saying this isn’t happening on any kind of large scale in 2025.
That’s a bit circular though because they just keep billing your credit card.
Ha! I’m imagining a DC comic book about “appraisal man”!!
He should go to prison. Filing a suit that expensive could permanently damage it
I’m offended by them calling testicles “vulgar”
Why would I buy access to my home network?
Yes, but I don’t think they made a profit so giving it another go
