Visually, Fediverse isn’t like reddit, instagram, or any other popular social media places.
You need to put in some effort to even browse it.

Consider this: unlike skiing, you don’t have anything in your hands. You have to completely control the board by your legs.
Snowboarding, even without any tricks or anything fancy. Just cruising down the snow is also very difficult.

For some reason this was super interesting for me…so through some Reddit research, I’ve learned these are cheap(er) apartments for college students at VA Tech…apparently some good parties are thrown in there. The reason for the indoor balconies is supposedly because (in a typical college town slumlord style) they’ve converted the essentially attic space into additional bedrooms…and since they can’t get another window in there, they’ve gone with this indoor balcony thing to (badly) stay in code. Haha anything to squeeze every last dollar out of the students. The students who’ve lived/hung out there though don’t seem to mind though, and yeah I can see how it could lead to some fairly cool indoor parties in that space…a lot of beers have probably been bonged off the top balconies.
