American History X has a scene about it, although racists were programmed with different words 30 years ago.

I’d recommend assassination, in Minecraft. If you’re leaving the server and everything is fucked then do one for the team and cause some heads to roll, in Minecraft. The right used violence and it led to the presidency. A coup was rewarded. Let’s take some notes.
Reminds me of the aesthetics on toys/candy from other countries, but much more polished.
It’s like an old 100 yo trend of writing headlines except it has gotten much more “slam”-filled. Crash blossoms / headlinese has evolved over time.
I grew up in the 90s where everything we didn’t like was gay so I get it. Trump bad. Musk bad. Depict them as gay because it’s funny. It’s just weird to need that.
Also I was raised around a fucked up drunk so I also get the whole “these are homophobes, let’s make fun of them for being gay because they’ll react negatively even if i technically don’t care about homosexuality.” Just pushing buttons.
If you smoke weed you’re more likely to wear converse. It’s aesthetics. When someone says they’re anti abortion I usually see it as aesthetics. They want others to see them as being anti abortion. That’s what they get out of it.
It isn’t a literal belief. Democrats reduce abortions, much better than cons. Being anti abortion should mean voting for Democrats… IF you were still taking things literally. It’s not misinformation or lack of education, it’s misaligned priorities.
They’re just trying to be a tribe and signal allegiance. To have literal beliefs that you live by regardless of “your side” is a completely different game to what they’re playing.
A hidden device implanted on our cortex at birth should detonate when we suggest something like “We should let corporations solve global warming.”
The list is compiled by the MPA, a group that represents studios, etc. They work with our government, and to which degree I have no concrete idea, (edit: a trade association is supposed to work with governments on behalf of it’s members) but they merely submitted this list to our government. That’s according to the article and the torrent freak source.
I think the article wasn’t being clear and other comments seem to agree.
I think “end of history” is a bigger deal than hysteria or overreactions. People should be more concerned with things like climate change, fascism, capitalism, or systemic inequality. A lot of people have this thing in the back of their mind where they “know” nothing will ever change, and it poisons the way they think of the world over time.
Terminating service over allegations of piracy. Kicking someone off the internet because an automated copyright system accused them of piracy. That’s crazy.

I like the idea of the Borg figuring out midichlorians. You know what would make the Borg nightmare better? Force lightning. Mind control.
Next time an artist makes a big deal about being ripped off I’m going to contrast “working hard and then getting ripped off” with “underregulated industry manipulating society for profit” and probably just pirate.

How to “block” ads: Refresh the video multiple times. They will show a few different ads and then give up. It even works on console YT apps which have more ads.
I guess it affects impressions? I figured they would have fixed that, but this still works so whatever.
The special forces test was hard.
For the written test. there’s parts where you would be shown a helicopter for 100 milliseconds then have to remember the configuration, number of rotors, ordinance… Or you see a tank for a split second and have to correctly identify the barrel measurements and other little details.
The stealth mission was difficult too. I managed to be a medic and a ranger but not special forces.
From what I can find, by “These routers send your credentials in plaintext”, they actually meant to say, “The mobile app sends credentials in plaintext.”
If you use the web interface then your credentials are not sent in plaintext. The routers themselves also don’t send credentials in plaintext.
The people who found this out got that wrong, and a lot of people are confused because they didn’t expand on “in plaintext.” They could be a little more professional / thoughtful.
Edit: I’m also thinking about the “may expose you to a MITM” bit. I think if it was https then a MITM (assuming all they can do is examine your packets) wouldn’t work because the data can only be unlocked by the private key. It sounds like it was an http connection?
It’s cool to see McLaren’s progress like this.
And because corporations aren’t people, here’s the CEOs that ran things during 2014:
Hans Vestberg (b 1965) Verizon
Randall Lynn Stephenson (b 1960) AT&T
Glen F Post (b 1952) CenturyLink
We let these people act with impunity in our society but it doesn’t need to be this way. Look at how Elon, who thrives on attention, flips out over being tracked and heckled. They stole hundreds of billions from us but we don’t even act like it.
There’s a vaguely cartoon or fun look to the game but I’m having trouble thinking of good examples. Things have the right proportions but it’s stylized just enough.
The Plains of Eidolon (your screenshot) is the first open world area, and looks more plain compared to Venus and the cambion drift. Most of the game is made of stylized tiles stitched into levels. It’s more obvious as you see all the syandanas and weird frames and the individual factions.
