I have a phone job and one bad day a caller told me I sounded like I didn’t want to be there that day, which was true.

But it’s made me more aware of how I sound or present myself and, y’know, the whole fake it til you make it thing has worked with me.

Being happier on the phone led to happier outcomes with the members, which led to me not having my head down all the time.

It’s an original thought (to me) that popped up while listening to a podcast. It’s often how we can detect sarcasm aswell even when you don’t even see the person.

Truth. I’ve worked in one that provided mirrors to remind you to smile.

I uncontrollably smile when I talk to this day thanks to my call center experience. It’s an unwanted mask.

That was the first thing I learned when training for that job. They really drilled that into all of us.
